Relocating to Charlotte


Nicknamed the “Queen City”, Charlotte is located in Mecklenburg County in the Metrolina region of North Carolina. The city is divided into ten different commercial and residential neighborhoods. Charlotte is a community rich in culture and history. The Uptown district of Charlotte is the financial center of the city, and the location of John C. Smith University. The city has an art district with galleries and museums such as the Mint Museum. Charlotte experiences humid sub-tropical weather with mild winters and hot-humid summers. It has excellent public transportation with the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) which provides bus service, express shuttles, historical trolleys and a free downtown circulator called Gold Rush. The city is also served by the Charlotte Douglass International Airport. Charlotte provides a range of educational options through its many libraries, colleges and universities, museums, and cultural centers. There are activities of every variety for all ages through athletics, recreational facilities, public parks, greenways and natural areas such as Lake Norman. Charlotte provides a abundance of housing options ranging from new single family homes to condominiums. Currently, the average price for a single family home is $225,000.
