Founded in 1854, Rochester is the county seat of Olmsted County and is the third largest city in Minnesota. It is located on both banks of the Zumbro River.

Did You Know? George Head, founder of Rochester, named it after his hometown in New York State. Olmsted County is one of only four counties in Minnesota without a natural lake. Rochester has a 151 foot tall Corn Cob Water Tower standing over the Seneca Foods cannery since 1931.
