Miami, the largest urbanized area in the state of Florida is located in Miami-Dade County making up part of the Greater South Florida metropolitan area. Miami is known as a “cultural melting pot” due to its diverse population which includes Latin Americans and Caribbean's. The city has many cultural, recreational, and entertainment attractions and activities. Miami is home to many art galleries and museums including Lowe Art Museum and the Vizcaya-Miami Art Museum. Miami is also home to many athletic teams such as the National Football League's Miami Dolphins, the Major League Baseball team the Florida Marlins, and the National Basketball Association's Miami Heat. There are many prestigious colleges and universities in Miami including the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University, plus notable secondary institutions. Miami offers its residence and visitors an excellent local public transportation program which includes the Metrorail, the Metrobus, and Tri-rail. Miami is divided into thirteen different residential, commercial, and business districts. The residential communities offer a wide selection of housing options. Currently, single family homes range between $650,000 and roughly $5 million. There are many new condominium projects underway as Miami's residential districts are seeing huge growth and change.
