Highlands Ranch is a planned community in Douglas County, Colorado, located 12 miles south of Denver. It is considered a bedroom community of Denver, despite its population close to 100,000. Highlands Ranch is bordered by Chatfield State Park to the west, Littleton and Centennial to the north, the City of Lone Tree to the east, and the town of Sedalia to the south.
Highlands Ranch is ranked as one of the most advanced master-planned communities in the country.
