Relocating to Los Altos

Los Altos is located in Santa Clara County in the Peninsula of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is primarily a bedroom community however the small commercial zones are found in the downtown area. In the quaint downtown district, there are shopping centers with trendy shops and boutiques as well as unique restaurants and cafes. The homes in the residential community are surrounded by trees and give the city a small town atmosphere. Los Altos offers a select array of homes that are mostly very high end and over the one million dollar mark. The current median home price is around $1,600,000. The city offers small businesses, excellent schools, churches and libraries. Los Altos High School is one of the high schools found in Los Altos. Los Altos is located about 15 minutes north of San Jose and about fifteen minutes south of Palo Alto, home of Stanford University. Residents of Los Altos have access to the two major freeways which connects Los Altos to the rest of the Peninsula. The Stanford Shopping Center, located in Palo Alto, is a beautiful, clean, and safe mall where residents of Los Altos can go shopping. Palo Alto also has the renowned Stanford University Medical Center and a bustling downtown shopping district.
