Long Beach is located in Los Angeles County in Southern California. Long Beach is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the United States that is evident due to the abundance of cultural activities and facilities. For example, it is home to the Long Beach Museum of Art and Long Beach Symphony Orchestra. Every year, the city holds many festivals such as the Jazz Festival and the Blues Festival. However, Long Beach is best known for its California State University of Long Beach. The city also has two other higher-level education facilities such as the Long Beach City College. For those who enjoy recreational activities, Long Beach has an award winning Department of Parks, which provides city residents with immaculately clean and safe parks such as the El Dorado Regional Park. The city also has an excellent public transportation system and has the most southern terminus for the Los Angeles Metro Blue Line light rail. The Blue Line takes passengers as far as downtown Los Angeles. Long Beach also has access to many of the major Southern California freeways. The city offers a variety of housing options ranging from condominiums to single family homes. Currently, condominiums average around $300,000 while single-family homes can range from $400,000 $3,000,000.
