Irvine is a planned city located in Orange County, California. Most of the city is in a broad, flat valley between Loma Ridge and the San Joaquin Hills. In the far northern and southern areas, there are hills, plateaus and canyons. Irvine is one of the country's largest planned urban communities, covering more than 65 square miles.
