Founded in 1847, Napa is the county seat and principal city of Napa County, California. The estimated 2008 population is 75,000.
Napa is in the heart of America's world famous winegrowing region. The city boasts outstanding restaurants on Main Street's "Restaurant Row", featuring the local distinguished wines, as well as numerous wine bars and tasting rooms, theaters, art galleries, and diverse shopping venues.

The north side neighborhoods have older subdivisions with cul-de-sacs and winding streets. The southern area along the Napa River has marina homes and condominiums and custom homes at the Napa Yacht Club. The east side is more upscale with the Silverado Country Club and Resort, and large estate homes with acreage.
