National Association of Realtors Reports Record Streak in Pending Home Sales

Today the National Association of Realtors (NAR) announced that home sales have been on a steady increase since April 2009. The pending home sales index has jumped more than 8% and is 12% higher than last year. This is good news for the mortgage industry but speculators think this may be a result of the $8,000 firs time homebuyers tax credit which is scheduled to be discontinued on Dec. 1, 2009.
