According to the National Association of Realtors, in comparison to this time last year,(3rd quarter) 28 out of 152 metropolitan statistical areas(MSAs) showed an increase in existing single family home prices.  I think this is positive for our market. We are hitting rock bottom, however, there is hope.  Distressed sales and the rise in foreclosure rates obviously affect these numbers and statistics so w/ the government bailouts and families opting for short sales instead of foreclosures, and the low interest rates there is definitely an end to the madness.

Fourth quarter metro area home price and state resale will be released In Feb. 2009.
